Where We’re from
Our Roots
Dr Jack Stewart was the Pastor of Full Gospel Tabernacle from 1968 until his death in June of 2016. He was not only our Pastor, but he was the Pastor for the Greater Lincoln area. He had a heart for this community. While he was healthy, he did not let a day go by without his presence being felt throughout our town. He officiated many weddings, burials, political gatherings, concerts, camp meetings, suppers, etc, but his favorite place was the House of GOD..
Through his wit and humor coupled with his love for people, many were able to see the love of GOD in action. We miss him every day. Yet we know that as long as we adhere to the principles that he taught us, we will keep his legacy alive!
Pastor Jack Stewart wanted us to continue serving the area that he loved so well and called home for the past 49 years. He labeled The Full Gospel Tabernacle as ” The Heart of GOD in the Center of Town.” He began a children’s summer camp in the early 1980’s that is still a highlight of many. There are preachers, teachers, and evangelists all across North America who either got their start under Pastor Jack Stewart or were inspired by his preaching to be spiritual leaders.
‘Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.’
Romans 15:7
